Life through my eyes

Helping hands!

The journey home yesterday was not too bad.  We were waiting for ages to be given "the finger from the lady" to embark.  Loads of cars that arrived after us were loaded and we were being left to the end.  Much huffing and puffing was going on and then I spotted all the cars that had gone on being raised up inside the ferry.  To our great surprise we ended up right at the front of the ferry!  We had booked a cabin which was great as I could have a sleep before the drive home.  It was so nice to get out of the hubbub and lie down and it seemed to stop me feeling queasy.  It must have been bad as Mr T also felt queasy.  Anyway, being at the front was a mixed blessing as the car was a bit salty so had to be cleaned today, but we were second off the boat and on the road for 22:30 (which is when I thought we would be).  If we hadn't been delayed somewhere on the crossing for 45 minutes it would have been better still.  But at least we weren't at the back of the boat!  I don't like driving at night, so that was not good and it's a twisty route back from Poole.  Still we made good time and got back about 01:45, bikes off and in the garage, car unloaded and fell into bed!

This morning when I got up the bunnies were all ready to help but the holiday stuff away and in the washing machine.

A busy day but car and bikes cleaned, some washing done and all the rest unpacked!
