Kowhai

You know it's spring when the kowhai blooms :)  My tree is looking a bit light on blooms at this stage but I'm hopeful of a more intense showing in the next week or two.  

Whilst it is spring on the calendar, the weather today was a bit cooler and greyer than a typical spring day.  C'est la vie.  Holidays soon so I hope the 'real' spring shows up then :)

And the great news of the day is that dad is being disharged from hospital today.  Will talk to you this evening dad - just give you some time to get your feet back on the ground at home.  xx
