On a fence post

If you take the public road past Collace quarry you'll see this unusual dead boot on a strainer next the T junction. Not sure of the story behind it, but there's been a shoe on that spot for years. Presume it's not relevant, but there's a stone circle close by... That's Dunsinane Hill in the background.
