End of an era

Taking some last pictures before the builders come & destroy a lane that villagers enjoy walking down regularly. I don't understand how they have got permission to take over a country lane, pull the hedges out that provide food for nature when even the farmers can't touch the tree's that form the hedges & yet the builders can make driveways to the houses they are going to build. Even worse they're closing the road off while they build the houses, going to miss my daily stroll down this lane, making the most of it while its still here.
