Cost Cutting?

This is the aicraft I flew to Venice on today standing at it's gate at Gatwick airport. If you look closely you can see that there is a line of gaffer tape around one of the cockpit windows. It did look a bit odd and I'm sure it's not BA trying to save a bit of cash. :-)
