Unexpected Surprises

Well today didn't pan out anything like I had imagined!!

After quite a frustrating day at work, I left a few hours early to get away from the ridiculous temperature in the office and the "frustrating is not the word" system. One of those days to end my week!!

I called Steve to have a chin wag, talked about our days and said I fancied getting eyebrows waxed for mini pampering before I went home to edit photos. He agreed.

Eye brows waxed, wandered in Boots then went home.

Pulled up at the house and did a double take at the window!! Was that someone that walked past the window, figment of imagination? Nope - definitely someone in white shirt!! iPhone set to record and heavy keys in another I went in!!

Gingerly put my bag down stairs - nothing! I shouted out "hello" then started to walk up the stairs! Next thing I hear a huge "Helloo!" and it was my Mum!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was gobsmacked and had no idea!!! So here came 100 questions, why, how, what time she got to lhr, how she got here, how she got in...! Turns out, Steve was in on it all along, knew Mum was coming down, left her keys and made arrangements for taxi!!!

It is so great to have her here for a few days and I actually have the flexibility in my job now as self employed to spend time together!

We all went out for dinner tonight at our favourite pub and chatted the whole afternoon and evening. So, so, so, so great!!!
