Seville Streets
We are comfortably ensconced in the old quarter of downtown Seville, Spain. It was an early start this morning, our bus left Lagos at 6:30, but well worth it once we arrived at our hotel (on foot for the last half kilometer as no cars are able to pass through these streets). The Bario de Santa Cruz is famous for its labyrinth of cobblestone pedestrian lanes (one shown here) and was originally the Jewish quarter during the medieval era under Moorish rule. The four kilometer square area is a UNESCO World Heritage site and we were very fortunate to be located right in the heart.
