Arnside
A bit of a frustrating day as we couldn't find anywhere to park and ended up driving around Arnside and Silverdale when the plan had been to do a circular walk along the seafront and then inland to Arnside Knott. We eventually settled on a parking spot near the cemetery church and walked through the woods and down into Arnside for a sandwich lunch at the pub but by then it felt too late to do the full walk (and the tide had come in). So we retraced our steps up hill, calling in at one of the Cumbrian Open Studio events on the way back. Tracey Levine was sharing some beautiful atmospheric landscape work in her gallery - she's open next week too if you are around.
Home for around 5.30pm where the sun was shining strongly - a lovely long weekend.
p.s. I should add that both of us very pretty shattered last night after another disturbed night in our B & B where some drunken men (in their 50's and not mere youths) woke us up for the second night running. So my blip entry had to wait till this morning.
