A mirror maze and Degas

I visited the Nationsl Gallery of Victoria on the penultimate evening of the Degas exhibition on Saturday night.
It was really engrossing and there was a chance to learn about the artist's development, with the opportunity to walk back through the art works and sketches, testing out the thoughts and theories of the art historians for myself.

I was a good citizen and didn't take any sneaky photos of the works, but instead, as we left the Degas area and joined people relaxing in the main hall of the gallery listening to live jazz and eating beautiful food, we walked through this curious mirror maze by Jeppe Hein.

It was mesmerising and beautiful.

Here we are: Miss R, Miss C and I.

It was just lovely to spend time with these two wonderful women. They might be almost 40 years apart, but they are both very wise and I love them both dearly.
