Festive gate/fence

Wanted to take a photo inside the Cathedral, but there was a childrens carol service going on so I thought `better not`.
Listened to the voices of angels for a while before going back out and walked past this beautiful fence/gate that`s adjacent to the Guildhall. Don`t think it`s been up very long and I don`t know if it`s supposed to represent anything and as the hall is closed till February, I couldn`t find out.
It looks very festive though with the globules of red glass encased in the metalwork with the gold balls dotted about and the winter foliage which has been threaded through the bars above.
