New Bridge

It appears that in 1899 a plan was put in place to build a Chinese Bridge over Lugar Water at this point by Weir Schultz.  The plans for the then 3rd Marquees of Bute, John Patrick Crichton-Stuart were never put into place.
 
As part of the renewal of the estate the bridge has now been built and is dedicated to the original planners.  As we have said before, every visit finds something new.
