Great Egret in Flight

We spent a couple of hours at Venice Beach this morning and then went to the Rookery which was totally quiet with the exception of this Great Egret who was happy to put on a show for me.  He kept flying back and forth right in front of me trying to find the perfect feeding place.  

The mini-getaway is over and we are headed back to DC very early in the morning.
