Mill stone

The millstones in this wall feature are from the last water-operated corn mill in the Vale of Leven.
The mill was situated to the south of Dalvait Road Jamestown and was driven by water from Jamestown dam.
It was in use until 1942 and supplied oatmeal and other crushed grain to the district.
