Meet Buddy
Been a chaotic and sad start to the week. Zoe's father was rushed to hospital on Monday morning. Still waiting for news. Fortunately Fiona stepped in at short notice yesterday and we managed to get all the dogs walked after a lot of chasing our tails and flapping. Scrabbling round for childcare for Eva for the rest of the week. It's unavoidable but such a struggle when we have such a small business. We can't (and I won't) let customers down but it's so hard to cover sudden unplanned absences and very stressful. Obviously Z needs to be with her Dad but at the mo have no idea how long she will be off for.
I could do with someone who just wants a few hours here and there who I could call on at short notice but then not use for a couple of months. Not likely to find someone that flexible!!
Eva went to Debbie's for a few hours today so I could work. I collected her just after lunch and we did our jobs at the stables, then home for haircuts for the whole family. Tobes did dodge ball after school and then had his swim lesson.
Very worried about Charley tonight. He's had a little warty thing on his eyelid for a while. The Vet checked it and said to keep eye on it as it would be a difficult thing to remove and didn't seem to be bothering him. Yesterday it started turning black and today it is completely black. We thought it was probably just going to drop off. But having googled it, we found some stuff very specific to warts on eyelids which said if it goes black basically you have a big problem and it is cancerous. I know the internet is a dangerous thing and we should wait to see what vet says tomorrow but I'm terrified it will be bad news. Just can't bear any more sadness. We've had enough of that to last a lifetime.
