Back to the normal
Back to work this morning.
I have a new 2nd boss replacing the interim boss I had for the last 4 month. He is located in the US and American as well.
So I have now one boss in Sweden and another one in Colorado!
From our first phone calls he seems to be fun to work with!
We are preparing an important customer meeting for next week in Glasgow. So he will be coming over on the weekend already and staying all next week! Plenty of time to get to know him and introduce him to the business. So I guess it will be a full on week.
I took things easy today, trying not to get stressed about the overflowing inbox.
Despite that I only got out late to do some shopping.
I went my usual way along the river, but light was fading quickly. At the end of the path, where I usually walk up towards "my" high rises I heard voices and then a wee woman came towards me and told me that I should not be walking up that way as there were a couple of guys drinking and being verbally abusive! I took her advise gladly and we tried to get up to the roads, but all gates were already shut. We then walked back until we could leave the park again. Far away from the Tesco where I wanted to get to.
She was herself an admitted alcoholic and homeless, as far as I could understand at least. She kept walking with me all the way back to Great Western Road where I managed to thank her and say good bye. She did not ask for anything, but I gave her a few pounds when we parted and maybe she will not drink it all ... maybe.
I then walked back up Queen Margaret Drive to the small Tesco to get some peas for Neil (he loves peas!!) before I made my way home.
My blip is our local corner shop. The guy who runs it is quite funny.
It's very much a community here and everyone knows everyone on the street. When I first moved there from Edinburgh I totally fell in love with that area that has kind of everything in form of local shops and businesses.
I made sure that we stayed close when Neil and I looked for property a few years ago. And we managed! :)
