Another wall photo. Don't worry, I don't think there will be many more! Actually, taking photos of the walls has made me realise how much variation there is in the different sections of the walls. There must have been quite a number of different types of brick used when they were built all those years ago - more than 250 years. They badly need some TLC, but that is very costly of course. They are listed, so there are lots of restictions on how they can be repaired. We have had some work done to the parts which are actually deemed to be dangerous, and more work is planned. It remains to be seen as to whether we can get lottery funding to do anything more comprehensive.
