Early Morning Sun

I joined the North East Norfolk Bird Club group this morning for their monthly walk around the grounds of National Trust Felbrigg.  A cool start to the walk, but once the sun got up it was pleasantly warm.
We saw buzzards, kestrel, and a marsh harrier flying overhead. In addition we saw a skein of pink footed geese flying in formation across the clear blue sky.  At the lake we were treated to a co-operative kingfisher who sat out on a branch for quite a while.  Sadly none of the birds were close enough for me to photograph, but I did snap these leaves just showing the first tinge of autumnal colour.
It was the first time I had been on a walk with this group, having only just joined, but I had a lovely chat with a number of the others...a successful morning in more ways than one.
