River

Beautiful day, so off to the river - can't stand being away from water when it's so nice like this. Could have done with a wee rowing boat but you can't have it all.

Cycled to the river, passing a few people from school on the way which was nice, and sat on the boating pontoon to read my book, listen to the radio and try and decipher more of the Spanish newspaper that I brought back from Barcelona. It's slow but rewarding work.

It's a great place to swim, as the pontoon gets almost too hot to sit on, which is the perfect remedy to the cold water - you get too hot, go for a swim, then roast yourself on the pontoon. Repeat until hungry.
