Man with a shovel
Somewhere near here there is a potential danger. A man with a shovel. Which he may, or may not, be using to dig a hole. Or perhaps fill one in. Or his task may be to spread stones and dirt around. Or even to shovel it into heaps and from those heaps into containers to be take away. It is probable that he will not be alone. It is almost as likely that he will not be engaging in any of the tasks (or any others) with his shovel, as such work is usually performed by a bobcat. The potentially dangerous animal has been captured and contained within an iron machine, controlled by a man (usually) who once wielded a shovel.
I do wonder why the signs to indicate that "work is taking place on a road near here" don't show what that work is being done by. Signs like this foster the remembering of "jokes" like How many men does it take to dig a hole? One; the rest are there to give advice.
Took J to the airport this evening to catch a flight to Perth. After seeing a friend she is taking the train from Perth to Sydney. She is looking forward to completing a trip from the west coast to the east coast of Australia (Indian Ocean to Pacific Ocean). She will then stay with tsuken for a few days. I've asked her to take some great photies.
