Moncreiffe Hill Trip
Breakfast sitting outside in Tabu this morning which was a nice change from our usual haunt in Nero but been there most days last week so a change is good.
There was some events going on up Moncreiffe Hill today so took the boys up. It's owned by the Woodland Trust of which we have just become members and there has been a tree planted in our name on part of this wonderful big space for all to enjoy walking seeing the views as far as Dundee and then south towards Stirling.
Just next to the car park there was face painting and the boys got a Pictish design on their faces. Next event in part of the wood off the path was hammering leaves on to cloth to make designs then it was up to the dig at the top fort which was amazing to see what they had unearthed. We had a picnic at the other fort and then downhill to my favourite part which catches the sunlight through the trees. We were there around three hours, it's great to just walk, chat and see what their imaginations come up with just mucking around with sticks, mud climbing. Oh and it's also helps when the sun is shining .
