The Notaire

Today was the big signing day. Instead of a tiny (but beautiful) holiday house with a bedroom you cannot stand up straight in, we have a proper house with room for family and visitors and very comfortable all the year round. The previous owners, our neighbours, were so kind in that they left everything for us, including full food cupboards and the bed linen laid out on the bed like a hotel. Even the computer and internet worked immediately. The signing is quite formal, more like a UK civil wedding ceremony. Everything was explained meticulously and then we all signed. There were tears and hugs and we took some more photos before waving goodbye to each other and moving on with our lives.
