Oh Dear!

This is the reason I've not been very active over the past week or so ...

The heat exchanger in our central heating boiler had failed at some point, but fortunately the previous owner's service agreement is still current so this new one,  the metal cylinder top right, will fix it ... crossing all available digits!

On the plus side ... we met most of the neighbours while tidying up the front garden,  they all seem a happy bunch so I can see us liking this as a place to live.

Thanks for all the comments, views and stars over the past few days, all much appreciated even if I have not been able to reply.  We're also waiting on BT sorting out the telephone and broadband so not having to use my mobile a a wifi hotspot will make things easier too :-)
