Caerphilly Views
It's been a lovely sunny day and after sorting out paperwork around the house I got some new tyres put on the front of my car ready for the MOT I've arranged for tomorrow lunchtime. Always a worrying time!
It was a nice day to take an aerial photo and I decided on Caerphilly town centre. The main photo shows the view of the railway station and the castle which dominates the landscape. It is beautiful and we are so lucky that Gilbert de Clare (1268) decided to he needed it to conquer us Welsh upstarts! The other aerial shows the view on the other side of the town leading up to the ridge that divides it from Cardiff.
