An autumn poppy.
Today is the autumn equinox and not the normal time of year to see a poppy in flower. This hardy wee plant has seeded itself between two mono blocks at the front of our house. It came into flower yesterday, but by the time Swannie took its picture, this morning, it had been battered by heavy rain all night.
I've been warned to leave it alone as I've been working on destroying the ones in the vase indoors. I keep getting things thrown at me but it's good fun to chew the stems and watch the flowers fall down. I hope you've all had a lovely Thursday, lots of love, JJ, xx
