Semi Hero

I took a team to the cluster schools' mini-soccer tournament this afternoon.  It was meant to be Y5/6, but took some Y4s too to give them a headstart on these sorts of things.

They lost the first game 5-0 and I did give an arguably harsh post-game talk as I know they are a lot better than that (they might argue it was harsh, I'd argue it was needed).  Alex Ferguson would have been proud.

It worked, they then played to their regular level of commitment and won the following three games 1-0, 5-0 and 6-0.  Tons of goals and all clean sheets!  Chuffed for Jnr Jnr as she was in goal.

We qualified for the semi final, but lost 3-0 - not a problem as they played their hearts out and did themselves proud.
