Magnolia flower - and a monarch butterfly

I was happily photographing magnolia flowers at the Rose Garden for Flower Friday when this monarch butterfly joined me. So, I started happily photographing  monarchs on magnolias.

I had several shots with the butterfly fully spread - but have done that before so have blipped a side on view. It shows the curled proboscis and a hairy back.
