Always good for a blip, with their jewelled seeds, aren't they?

However, that had to count as the most exciting moment of my day :(  The rest consisted of a list of jobs too boring to mention, but the sun did shine and - I now have my bird feeding station up and running. 

About 11 years ago I bought a cast iron shepherd's hook thing to hang the feeders off but it never got off the ground (or, rather, in the ground) because of a local rat problem.  Hopefully by now I've given Ratty long enough to find another home and this winter I can enjoy watching - and blipping - the small birds that live around here.  Fingers crossed.
