University Parks: Red Admiral
Fuzzier a face in large.
Even fuzzier here, and a different view of its face here.
Yay, butterflies! After a summer seeing only cabbage whites (of various varieties) in the University Parks, there are suddenly lots of butterflies about: I saw red admirals (undersides and from behind), commas (undersides and uppersides), and a brimstone on the New England asters.
I tried to resist photographing the bees (both bumbles and halictids), hoverflies, and flowers (I already have too many photos to sort through), but couldn't resist entirely...
The others (mostly butterflies) are on Flickr (right from this mystery flower).
