Tovrea Castle at Carraro Heights

This building was completed in 1930 - it is also known as the jewel of the desert.  The builder was named Carraro, the 2nd owner name Tovrea.   Della Tovrea resided in the castle until her death in 1969.  It's now a landmark and they do tours which I've never done.  They have an extensive cactus garden as well.  I like the outside of it and am curious about the inside.  Will have to do a tour in our winter months.  Maybe I'll get better photos, I stopped on the freeway and zoomed in to take this one.
