Faraway Fields

A.    What is going on in this photo?
-       I recently had a basketball tournament at Spooky Nook in Pennsylvania. As my mom and I were driving to the sports complex, we passed through a small portion of the Amish town. In the picture above, you can see one of the fields that they work and harvest food in. You can also see a home in the back, as well as a mountain range.
 
B.    How is it related to a specific human geography concept from the current unit or previous units?
-       The picture of the Amish field pours into the culture concept. The Amish people have a strong and thriving culture of their own. Just by looking at the picture you can tell by the house, crops, and general location that their lifestyles represent of ideas and teachings of what the ideal way for them is to live.
 
C.     Link the image to one of the five themes of geography with an explanation of how it works.
-       Place: The culture is and still remains to be a large impact on how things run with the people in their social atmosphere. While driving through this area, I noticed the roads were more bumpy and sharper than what you would typically see. Also I noticed the vast fields and mountains that represented the physical characteristics.
