Murraymania- The Gold Post Box, Dunblane-(2)

Yes I have blipped this before but I couldn't resist popping up to Dunblane this evening to see if folk were still congregating around the Gold Post Box in honour of Andy Murray.

They were.

The Cairn family from South Africa were among dozens recording this historic moment of a local hero, an Olympian in our midst. Their daughters Rachel (above) and Caitlyn, wanted to be photographed sitting on top of it.

Already the council have had to repaint it gold because people were picking bits off as souvenirs.

Whoever came up with this idea deserves a medal too. It is a fun event drawing in people of all ages. Everyone is smiling.
