Young Phoebe

A suitable image for a grey, wet day :) This is an Eastern Phoebe (Sayornis phoebe), clearly a youngster (adults have somewhat more differentiated plumage). It was outside our kitchen window in New Hampshire.

Awful weather is blanketing the entire northeastern United States, brought by an agonizingly slow-moving system, complete with tornado warnings this afternoon (not sure whether any have actually occurred).
