...because I've got this really good stick that I carried all the way back from the forest, and I want to get it inside to my bed safely before any other dog, or cat for that matter, snatches it!

I often carry pine cones but rarely sticks. That worked to my disadvantage, because once inside, mum decided she wanted to have a look and decided it might be a real thigh bone and took it away from me. Unfair! So what if it was! Hrmph.
