Engiadina: Scuol - Ardez

Perfect sunny and warm autumn day. We went early morning to the Engiadina (the valley next to us) and hiked from Motta Naluns (Scuol) to Alp Clünas and Alp Laret (midday break, extra) then down to Alp Valmala (blip) where we filled our rucksack with delicacies from the resident goats, sheeps and cows. From there along the river down to Ardez and there timely catching the train back to Scuol at 4pm. We then drove up to Ftan to see the beautifully decorated with huge bells noisy cows which came down today from the various alps. As we were late, we at least saw how the farmers (owners) of the cows tried to separate them individually from the big heard to chase them home through the village.

Driving back at 6pm via Flüelapass at sunset. A leg of (alp) lamb is now rosting in the oven with small potatoes and carrots. Sottobosco goes very well with it. 30'000 steps did the trick. Tired. No alarm clock tomorrow.
