Some things should be left to the professionals.

Today we have started screeding the floor in the lounge. Stu has done a brilliant job, but it has nearly killed both of us. I was shattered just fetching the stuff we needed to do it (36 bags of sand, 12 bags of cement and two long pieces off wood). Stu did most of the hard work while I emptied the bags in to the cement mixer but it's harder than it sounds. Each bag seemed to get slightly heavier than the last.
Dad has started fitting plugs in the kitchen and done a bit more wiring upstairs. I think he would rather have been helping do the floor though as he said he finds electrics boring.
Going to stick to painting tomorrow!
