We Have Oysters

Marylee and I went out with our host Thierry  for a light lunch at L'Herbe, a village part way down the peninsula from Cap Ferret.  Oysters are featured everywhere along the coast, and we had them (on the half shell) along with shrimp and a kind of sea snail called whelk.  At the end of the afternoon we went to the ocean side of the peninsula to dunes and a broad beach for the sunset; light clouds made it a low-key but still impressive experience.
