Golden Letterbox

We may not be in London any more but Olympic fever is still everywhere. There were a few people wandering around Edinburgh in Team GB atire and we passed Chris Hoy's letterbox! It's such a lovely idea. Not the slickest of paint jobs mind.

Mum and Dad were at our cousin Jennifer's wedding today so Hilary and I went through to Edinburgh to see a Fringe show - the Jumblies. Finlay and Katie, my friends from school, had composed/MD'd and assistant directed this children's show respectively. It was also nice to see one of my past string orchestra desk partners, Kirsty, in the cast! The Jumblies was based around a number of Edward Lear's poems and the children (and adults) in the audience had a good laugh. We spent the afternoon sunbathing in the meadows with Finlay, a spot of shopping and then travelled back to Perth - which was more difficult than planned due to train disruption. Good old Scot Rail.
