Gravity Fields

Every two years, Grantham holds a science and arts festival celebrating the life and works of Isaac Newton. With dance, theatre, history and lectures, there is something for everyone. This year's lectures included the mathematical secrets of The Simpsons (yes, really!), the science of Dr Who, an update from CERN and How to Become a Genius (shame I missed that one!)
The Saturday evening's event took over the whole town centre with actors, acrobats, circus performers, musicians and dancers. Several local dance schools were involved in the parade of LED umbrellas which wound its way through the streets, finishing outside the Guildhall for a fireworks display. Great stuff indeed and I'm already looking forward to the next one!
