Palazzo Estense - Varese

Upper level and roof detail of the Palazzo Estense  at Varese. This was a former hunting lodge/residence of Francesco III d'Este, Duke ofModena and Reggio. Built in 1765, today it is the muncipial seat of Varese. We had a short walk through the beautiful gardens there, as part of our partial family reunion in Italy this weekend. I'll put a family portrait in the extras ;-)
