Paradise Washington
Taking a walk up to a waterfall there was a family of 4 Marmots. These are three of them..
In the first extra you have the 4th Marmot, a hungry chipmunk, 2 chipmunks that stopped for a moment, and a young buck.
Second extra you have one of the many fields of wild flowers.
The Paradise Inn built in 1917 with the original building mostly still there that was build without a single nail. It wasn't until they found there was more snow in the winter then expected so they had to reinforce it. This is also a National Historic place.
Inside you have a hand built piano that still works fine but is locked for preservation reasons. In the dining room where all the support post had flowers painted on them, all the lamps had nature theme. I had to use one with a bird of course.
The last one is Mount Rainier. At 14,410 feet it is the tallest volcano in the Cascade Mountain Range and the most glaciated peak in the continental United States. Yes it is still active and vents a little steam regularly... Half a million people are in direct danger if/when this mountain decides to erupt again..
A fabulous day in Paradise..
