A Pair

These are Mexican petunias, (Ruellia brittoniana).  We bought 5 single stalk plants about 8 years ago in Florida. Without exaggerating, I am sure we must have 500 or more now. The plant is very invasive, grows to about 3 feet, and has flowers that open and close with the light.  The colors are varying shades of blue/purple.  I enjoy them, but they are difficult to remove and literally create a mass in small spaces.  I've given many of them for the garden portion of our annual yard sale to raise money for projects at church.
