wonderful perennials in the garden...

I have been weeding and chopping spent tops of last seasons perennial's growth. A way underneath all the dead tops I found these new leaves of my aquilegias (grannybonnets). I love these flowers and loved the fine red scalloped edges to the new leaves. Such beautiful detail I have overlooked before.
