UIC SISE and Italian Festival

Oh goodness. I sadly do not have the energy to rewrite what was lost when blip did something weird. Suffice it to say that I have begun the University of Illinois-Chicago's Summer Institute on Sustainability and Energy and it is fantastic. We had lecturers (on this the first day) in policy, economics, and philosophy (plus basic energy). We've been making friends and energetically talking about innovative solutions to global and domestic problems in a variety of fields, but mostly relating to sustainability.

And finally, we hit up the Italian street festival near to the dorms in which we are staying. Tasty food and Tony Bennet (more or less)! Who could ask for more?
