Red sky in the morning ....

I knew sunrise was to be just after 7 o'clock this morning and I decided that if I was awake I would nip down to the beach to watch the dawn breaking.

I was awake at half past six so wearing a pair of joggers, a fleece and my wellies I walked across the road and down the lane where I watched the sky turn from grey to the most magnificent shades of orange.  

The best time, according to one of the Elie locals, is about twenty minutes before the sun comes over the horizon .... I think he's right.
