Burning off...

Oh no, not another sunny day. Traffic jams, parking spaces full, tourists everywhere, cafes chockablock, kids off school, chaos. Yep the summer has arrived.

This view is an Ullswater shot taken from the roadside near Watermillock. I drove down at about 7am and pulled into an empty layby. Forty minutes later on my return up the road from Glenridding there were five cars squeezed into the 4 car space!

I'd hoped to get some Ullswater steamer pics but the inversion hadn't burned off down at Glenridding and was still hanging around like a thick fog. Maybe tomorrow...
