Devil's Chimney
Apparently this is the highest waterfall in Ireland! I always thought the waterfall on Hungry Hill was but never mind it was quite stunning falling over the limestone cliff edge and tumbling through the woodland below and flowing into Glencar Lake.
We started the day at Ross's point in the hope of getting a ferry to Inishmurray but despite the calm day sadly there was no boat going. so we walked the strand and as the weather was improving by the moment we decided to get into the mountains and walk along the escarpment overlooking Glencar lake, the sun came out and the views were stunning.
The light was perfect for catching Benbulbin in the evening so another view of this mountain in my extra pictures, we will climb it tomorrow! The sculpture of the woman represents those lost at sea, in the background is Oyster Island and Knocknarea and finally an image of the escarpment looking toward Kings Mountain.
