Taste of Scotland
Omiyage is the Japanese word for a little gift you bring someone when you have been traveling. They have even mastered the art of having gift shops in the major train stations with small gifts from wall over Japan in case you forgot someone.
No such shortcuts for Carol. I have pictured but a few of the bag of goodies she brought with her all the way from Scotland for a couple of people with the fondest of memories of her native land. And now we also have the fondest of memories of the time we sent together at Lake Louise.
OilMan has taken to his bed with a bad man cold…possibly even a case of the flu since he rarely goes to bed when he is sick. At least he waited until we got home. I don't suppose the temperature changes yesterday between a high of 4 degreesC in Canada and a high of 100 degrees F at home helped….
