The Heights of Nájera

Today's Blip was taken at the lofty height of 900m, at the ruins of the castillo above Nájera, which are in fact so ruined they're more or less part of the hill now.

It's been another short but good day, I nearly contemplated making for the next town but realised that was just my brain talking and stopped as planned. Timing was good too as I saw my Canadian compatriots and also ran into Hasko again (and apologies to him for the epic misspell yesterday!)

The rest of the day was spent wandering around town, climbing the hill (the day lacked them otherwise) and meeting new folks, though I ended up dining solo - apart from the company of a good book.

I'm halfway through Harry Potter IV at this stage, luckily I have 35 more unread books in my kindle library!

Tomorrow's stage has a rather fantastic option or two to choose from, and with some advice from some newly met pilgrims this evening my choice is tricky!
