Before we arrived, we had 500 pieces of firewood delivered. They were thrown  in a pile in the garden. Now it's cold and wet, we needed dry wood, so we made it one of the first tasks to stack the wood and take some in. The space underneath the new fireplace only took one third of it, but it looks nice and should keep relatively dry.
