Chipmunk with No More Nuts

I spent the better part of an hour this morning giving one peanut at a time to this chipmunk (more for my benefit than his so I could get his picture). When the bag ran out, he popped up on this rock to see if anything more was to be thrown his way. He quickly disappeared after that.

The chipmunk took each of the 40 peanuts that I gave him and took them down into a hole (what I assume is his home). At one point, it had blocked the entrance with it's new stash and had to pull some out, dig out the hole a little bit, and then it carried everything inside.
